Waitrose, longstanding Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards supporter, has been revealed as a platinum sponsor of the Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards in 2018.
Waitrose is one of the largest employers in the borough, having three shops in the area as well as its headquarters.
Tina Varns, Waitrose Manager, Community, Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards. We have a long association with the area – our headquarters have been based here for the past 45 years and we have three Waitrose shops in the borough, so we’re very much looking forward to celebrating the great work that takes place in the community.”
Waitrose is committed to supporting the communities in which it trades. Every month, Waitrose in Bracknell and Sandhurst donates a share of £1,000 to three local causes nominated for by its customers. The supermarket also provides staff volunteering hours each year, which sees its employees volunteering at local schools, charities and community groups.
