Awards & History
Our Purpose
The Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards exist to honour and celebrate the remarkable individuals,
organisations, groups and institutions who make life in Bracknell Forest better.
These Awards shine a light on the everyday heroes whose contributions often go unsung.
Origins & History
The Awards began in 2005, founded with the simple but powerful idea of recognising and celebrating community spirit across Bracknell Forest.
Over the years, the Awards have grown significantly: from a small local initiative to a much-anticipated annual celebration. The Awards recognise compassion, dedication and excellence across a broad set of categories including (but not limited to): charity and volunteer work, education and youth support, business excellence, sport, and community leadership.
For the 20th anniversary, the ceremony was held once again at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
In recent years, the awards have honoured hundreds of local people from all age groups (8 to 105!) – all united by a commitment to excellence.

Looking Ahead
As we continue into our third decade, the Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards remain committed to growing, adapting and deepening our connection with the community. We aim to reach more people, spotlight more positive stories, and continue giving thanks to those whose generosity, passion and hard work shape the spirit of Bracknell Forest.
We invite you – whether you’re a resident, local business, charity, school, or simply someone who cares – to join us. Nominate someone you think deserves recognition, or step forward yourself. Together, we celebrate those who make Bracknell Forest truly proud.
